In 2018, Dr. Judy Butler was dealing with figuring out how to navigate the legal red tape of medicare, medicaid, and caregiving while losing her father through dementia. She realized how much an action plan with her father’s choices plainly spelled out, all her questions already answered, all the legal documents, and everything else all in one place would help. Dr. Judy decided to create The Guardian’s Gift Time Capsule to help other families, specifically adult daughters and sons struggling with the same frustrations about how to help aging parents in a respectful, loving way and simultaneously safeguard the aging parent and the adult child. The Guardian’s Gift Time Capsule was born.
